ChatScape is a Processing piece that visually represents a text-based chat room. Each participant in the room receives an avatar that waves its arms when its speaker is talking and the program will group avatars depending on what conversations appear to be taking place. The software interacts with
Voices, relying on the chat bot
AIDA to record relevant information for ChatScape to interpret. ChatScape also taps into
AIDA'S extensive memory bank of information about regular users of the chat room to produce tag "clouds" that can be viewed when hovering over a particular avatar.
